Days Park

Days Park is one of the best off-leash dog parks in New Zealand — a vast riverside reserve in Chartwell where dogs can run free across huge open grassland, hunt for sticks among the mature riverside trees, and swim in the Waikato River. The park is enormous, giving even the most energetic dogs genuine space to stretch out and explore. The grove of mature trees bordering the river creates a natural playground of sticks, shade, and riverbank adventures. Accessible from both River Road and Arran Road with good parking, picnic tables, and benches. A proper, world-class dog park that Hamilton locals know and the rest of New Zealand should too.
